Lyncrest E-Newsletter 5th January 2018

  Newsletter 20 April 2018

Hello Visitor,

SchoolShoePhotoSchool Shoes

We were all very impressed with the school at the end of the last week of last term. The children were looking really smart. 100% of the children were wearing the correct clothing. 93% of the children were wearing black school shoes. Please help us to make it to 100% of all children this term.

Good to be green update

gtbgreenAt the end of the last term, we decided that our 'Good to be Green' behaviour reward system needed some adjustments, to allow a margin for error and to therefore also allow children to recognise mistakes made and have the opportunity to be rewarded for making those mistakes right; this fits better with the ethos of our school.

As such, the children can access a treat at the end of the term if they have 90% of their days in school as green days- where they follow all of the core values always and without reminders. The children will be working towards this 90% and each green day will be marked off on a chart in the child's classroom.

For children who choose to have 100% of their days in school as green days, they will also receive a prize in recognition of their achievement as well as receiving the treat.

This behaviour reward system is in its early stages of development and because of this it still may not be exactly right; however, we feel we are working towards something that is really positive.

NSPCC E- Safety Parents workshop- 19th January 9:00am until 10:00

On Friday the 19th of January, the NSPCC charity are coming to school to deliver assemblies on how the children can stay safe at all times in various situations. As well as this, they are delivering a workshop to parents and and carers at Lyncrest from 9:00 until 10:00, offering useful tools, support and guidance to help you have conversations with your children about their online lives.

The hour-long workshop will help you to understand your child’s online world and build confidence to have those important conversations that can help keep children safe online.
If you would like to come to this event, so we know how many numbers we have and also so we know how much tea, coffee and biscuits we need, please inform us either by speaking to your child’s class teacher, the office or messaging us on Class Dojo.
Will you join us and keep all children safe on line?

Year 2 and 6 SATS meetings
