Lyncrest E-Newsletter 15 Dec 2017

  Newsletter 20 April 2018

Hello Visitor,

Merry Christmas

MerryXmasThis is the last newsletter of the term. It has been a fantastic term at Lyncrest with the children working so hard to be the best they can be. We wish you all a lovely Christmas holiday and we look forward to seeing the children back at school on Wednesday 3rd January.

Class Dojo

We are all really pleased with how the Class Dojo is working. It is a great way to send information to you all within the school community. It was invaluable when informing you about the recent school closures and any changes in times for our productions. Please be aware though, that in the interest of the teacher’s work and life balance, they may not reply to messages between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00am on Monday to Friday and also at any-time on the weekend.

Christmas Party Day (Wednesday 20th December) Food Lists

For our Christmas Party Day, the children will have food kindly provided by you, the parents and carers. We will share the food out that you provide, to create a party buffet. Below is a party food list of what to bring for your child, depending on what class they are in. If you could provide enough of this food item for around 8 children, that would be fantastic.

  • Reception: carrot, celery, cucumber sticks or cherry tomatoes
  • Year 1: cooked party sausages or sausage rolls
  • Year 2: grapes or breadsticks
  • Year 3: cubes of cheese
  • Year 4: fancy biscuits
  • Year 5: mini cakes
  • Year 6: multipack crisps

If you could bring this food item on the morning of Wednesday the 20th December or the day before, it would be greatly appreciated.

School Productions

The year 1,2 and 3 productions were amazing this week. Thank you to everyone for your support in providing costumes, getting your children here on time and coming to watch.

For our evening performance on the 19th of December, the Crèche is now full. Also, we ask respectfully that you do not bring young children and babies to the afternoon performance as their presence can often detract from the hardworking performers on stage.

The performance dates and times are:

  • Monday 18th December 1:30pm- Years 4, 5 and 6 afternoon performance
  • Tuesday 19th December 6:00pm - Years 4, 5 and 6 evening performance

After School club

There will be NO After School Club on Wednesday 20th December.

Cancelling Hot Dinners

From January, if a hot meal is no longer required but is not cancelled by 9:30 there will be a charge.

Events for the week beginning 18th December:

  • Monday - Guitars and Football Club
  • Tuesday -Hotshots and Tae Kwon Do
  • Wednesday - Christmas Party Day
