Hello Visitor,

lyn090617On Wednesday the pupils in Years 5 and Year 6 started tennis sessions with Parks Tennis.

Thank you for a great afternoon and we look forward to these sessions for the rest of the term.

New Head teacher for Lyncrest Primary School

The Governors are pleased to announce that Mr Bowden will be the head teacher at Lyncrest from September 1st, 2017.

Mr Bowden is currently one of our Assistant Head teachers at Lyncrest, and so is already well established in our Lyncrest family.

Our pupils have been informed this afternoon.

Dates for your diary

  • Monday 12th June: Gospel Concert at The Derngate.
  • Friday 16th June: Reception educational visit to Muddy Education Centre, at Holdenby.
  • Monday 19th June: Year One educational visit to Muddy Education Centre, at Holdenby
  • Monday 19th June: 9am. Guitar performance, parents welcome.
  • Tuesday 20th June: Year Two educational visit to Muddy Education Centre, at Holdenby
  • Wednesday 21st June: 2.30pm Brass Concert at Lyncrest (Year 5 and Year 6)
  • Saturday 24th June:  Lyncrest Summer Fete.
  • Monday 26th June: French Day!
  • Monday 26th June – Wednesday 28th June: Year Six residential visit.
  • Sports Day for all pupils from Reception to Year 6 will be held at The Duston Trilogy Sports Ground on Friday 30th June from 10am- 12 followed by a family picnic lunch.  (If wet, July 14th.)   

The Family Project to design a medal for Sports Day was a huge success. Thank you to everyone for all your entries. School Council will announce the winners next week. You will all be able to see the design at our sports day.

  • Crime in the local areaPlease ensure your handbags are not left in the car.  Other schools have notified us that thieves are looking out for bags and breaking car windows to steal them.
  • A parent at another school has reported being chased by two men on Weedon Road this morning.
